Stage 3 - Pathway to UKCP Hypno-Psychotherapist The National College of Hypnosis & Psychotherapy

Introduction

This is the third stage of our training which builds upon the previous stages and furthers your knowledge and ethical practice of hypno-psychotherapy with the aim of encouraging not only competence but also the confidence to be able to work within the complexities of practice.

Entry to Stage 3 of the National College pathways is open to you when you have completed the Stage 2 weekends.

Stage 3 is the diploma stage, leading to the award of the Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Hypno-Psychotherapy, with the designating letters DHP(NC).

The syllabus for this stage requires you to attend over five weekends at monthly intervals, undertake a blended learning research methods module  and undertake a programme of home study. On this stage, you will be  required to carry out 100 client-contact hours supervised at a ration of 6:1.

What You’ll Learn

This stage covers the thinking and models that have shaped modern psychotherapy including Freud, Jung, Adler and the major psychodynamic theorists. You will also study Gestalt methods, behavioural theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Transactional Analysis, as always there is an element of practical assessment throughout the stage. You will also study research methods and learn how to read undertake and apply research in relation to your practice.

What Next?

  • Upon successful completion students will be awarded the Diploma in Hypnosis and psychotherapy DHP(NC)
