At the NCHP, we have a long history and a close relationship with Manchester and its people; you could say it’s our spiritual home. An accessible, diverse, and innovative community rich in culture and history, Manchester boasts a vibrant and expanding mental health sector with a strong local network of therapists and supervision opportunities.
Our central training location, situated at the Leonardo Hotel, serves as an ideal base. Situated in the heart of the city, we offer recognised CNHC hypnotherapy and UKCP psychotherapy training in a convenient location with excellent transport links. NCHP Manchester combines a warm, inclusive environment with a touch of northern soul.
Our courses provide the same nationally respected training as our London base, delivered in small, face-to-face groups by experienced practitioners. From complete beginners to seasoned therapists, our staged training pathways enable you to qualify as a hypnotherapist in as little as thirteen months and then progress to UKCP psychotherapist or psychotherapeutic counsellor. With flexible weekend modules and a strong focus on personal development, the programme is designed to fit around your life, helping you grow both professionally and personally while transitioning smoothly into your new career.
Person-centred values underpin everything we do. Our humanistic and integrative approach weaves together various models, including psychodynamic, behavioural, and humanistic approaches, along with hypnosis skills. You’ll gain tools that are not only evidence-based but also adaptable to real-world practice. Your learning includes hands-on hypnotic techniques, reflective journaling, in-depth case studies, practical triad work, and self-reflective development, all guided by experienced clinicians and rooted in ethical, relational practice.
Whether you’re starting your journey or enhancing your therapeutic toolkit, our courses are structured across four progressive stages. Begin with the Certificate in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (CHP), which qualifies you to practice as a CNHC-registered hypnotherapist in just 13 months; you can then continue your journey toward UKCP-accredited hypno-psychotherapist or psychotherapeutic counsellor status with our advanced diplomas.
At NCHP Manchester, you’ll receive in-person, experiential training in small, supportive groups, ideal for therapists who wish to work creatively and responsively with diverse clients. Join our professional community grounded in compassion, curiosity, and clinical excellence, and become part of a community that transforms lives, starting with your own.
