My name is Professor Christine Rivers and I am an integrative hypnotherapist, qualified health and mindfulness coach and Professor of Mindfulness and Business at the University of Surrey. I am based in Blackwater, Surrey surrounded by woodland and birdsong. I offer in-person (wheelchair suitable) and online therapy and use a range of different approaches to support my clients informed by my research and training so far: clinical hypnosis, embodied- and emotion-focused therapy, mindfulness, health and lifestyle medicine and talking therapy.
Perhaps you already know what you would like to bring to therapy or maybe you don’t. I am open minded to explore with you how I can help you. Below is a short list of areas I have successfully worked on as a coach and now offer therapy for: anxiety, anger, grief, loss, physical pain and syndromes (e.g. fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, back pain), stress and obsessive behaviours. In addition, I specialise in working with guardians or parents-to-be of multiples / twins. About Dana is an integrative therapist and clinical hypnotherapist working online with clients across the UK and internationally. Her approach brings together person-centred therapy, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, CBT-informed tools and hypnosis, allowing her to tailor the work to each individual rather than follow a rigid model.
She has particular experience in self-esteem difficulties, anxiety, relationship patterns, perfectionism, people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm and life transitions. Sessions can be short-term or longer-term depending on what the client needs and the pace that feels right for them.
Dana’s focus is on helping clients understand what sits beneath their patterns and rebuild a steadier, more grounded connection with themselves.
