Your Path to Becoming a Registered Hypnotherapist
Accredited, relational training that blends hypnotherapy with psychotherapeutic understanding
Course Overview
Choosing your hypnotherapy training is a big decision. With so many options and so little regulation, it’s not always clear which path will give you the skills, credibility, and confidence you need.
At NCHP, we believe great Hypnotherapists are created through more than just learning techniques. Our training is grounded in psychotherapeutic understanding, enabling you to develop the depth, flexibility, and confidence necessary to work effectively with real people in the real world.
What That Means for You...
- Your NCHP training is relational at the core: You’ll learn how to build genuine connections, understand each client fully, and adapt your approach, whether in or out of hypnosis.
-
We are focused on your growth: We’ll help you discover your strengths, work on your growth edges, and shape your own authentic style as a therapist.
-
The ability to use many tools with one purpose: You’ll train in a wide range of theoretical approaches, so you can work with the whole person, not just the issue they bring.
By the end of your training, you’ll have confidence in your skills, creativity in your approach, and flexibility to meet each client where they are, all supported by a strong ethical and theoretical foundation.

Our Training Principles
Everything we teach is rooted in three principles:
-
The relationship comes first: it’s the single most significant factor influencing therapeutic outcomes.
-
Different things work for different people: flexibility is key.
-
Hypnosis is a natural human state: one that can unlock creativity, insight, and growth.
Our methods have been shaped by decades of work as Psychotherapists, Hypnotherapists, and educators, as well as research into what truly makes therapy effective.
We don’t rely on scripts, manuals, or prescriptive techniques. Instead, we focus on you:
- Your voice;
- Your style;
- Your ability to adapt.
You’ll learn hypnosis as a form of skilled communication, blending science and art to create approaches that fit each client and feel authentic to you, all within a structured, supportive framework that offers both containment and room to grow.
To get the most out of your training, assessment comes in many forms and is designed to support your development at each stage as appropriate.
Assessment includes:
-
Continuous ongoing assessment;
-
Reflexive projects;
-
Case study work;
-
Theoretical essays;
