Stage 3

Advanced Integration, Pluralism and Relational Depth

What to Expect from Stage 3

Extending between 12 and 18 months at this stage, you will delve deeper into the pluralistic framework, which will serve as a guiding structure for the remaining modules of the programme.

In stage 3, the emphasis shifts toward developing the capacity to work flexibly across theoretical modalities and refining the ability to tailor interventions to individual clients and contexts, whether in short, medium, or long-term therapeutic engagements.

Building on the centrality of the therapeutic relationship, this stage deepens relational work by exploring transference and countertransference dynamics, reparative potentials within the therapeutic bond, and transpersonal dimensions of connection.

Trainees are also encouraged to critically engage with the theoretical paradigms they have encountered, examining the cultural, historical, and epistemological assumptions embedded within predominantly Western models of psychotherapy.

Through this critical lens, and grounded in pluralistic principles, the course fosters an anti-oppressive stance that supports inclusive, reflective, and socially aware practice.
